As a coach, one of the things I hear frequently is: I think it is too late to… I have a card in my office that reads, “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” That saying has gotten alot of press the last few years, and for good reason. Our shame, false self, ego self, would have us believe that we are too busy, old, stupid, lazy, etc. to really claim our dreams or desires. But, in truth, until we take our last breath, it isn’t too late. As a coach I work with people on the false beliefs that keep them from truly creating a life that is all that they want. The shame based self doesn’t want us to feel content and happy and peaceful. It wants us feeling “less than” and confused and in turmoil. Part of creating what we want is to be willing to look in a direction other than the direction shame is pointing us in. Many of us have gotten stuck in looking in the direction shame dictates, and missing the rainbow. I help people hear a different voice, look in a different direction, and step into their lives in a different way. They need to be willing to believe that it is never too late…
Daily reminder- Be willing to challenge any belief that limits you or your happiness.
